Running in Ooty this June? Read on to learn more about the GHR Ooty 2018 Run T-shirt.

There are many things Ooty is famous for – home-made chocolates, eucalyptus trees, tea plantations, the Nilgiri Mountain Railway, and hills as far as the eye can see! And you will spot them all – except for the home-made chocolate part – on the run route. The run commences at the Lawrence School’s cross-country trail and right off the bat you will see and smell the heady aroma of eucalyptus trees all around you. Further along the run route, it’s hard to miss the Nilgiri Mountain Railway snaking its way through the Nilgiris.

We’ve incorporated all of the above into this year’s souvenir run T-shirt – the eucalyptus trees, the rolling blue hills (they’re called Nilgiris for a reason!), and of course the 100-year old UNESCO-designated Nilgiri Mountain Railway.

And for added effect, the letters OOTY have been snuck in as well. Not everyone who sees you wearing the T-shirt will spot it at first – but it’s there and if and when they do you can proudly say “Ooty is in the eye of the beholder!”
