Go Heritage Run Hyderabad’s routes traverse sites and monuments built by the Qutb Shahi dynasty. Like our run T-shirt, the Hyderabad Finisher Medal too is influenced by Qutb Shahi architecture – specifically, the venue for the run – the Taramati Bardari.

The Taramati Baradari is a 12 doorway-ed palatial structure built by Abdullah Qutb Shah, the Seventh Sultan of Golconda, in 1625 to celebrate Taramati, one of his courtesans. And the medal is a laser-cut engraving of the front view of the Baradari complete with its doorways and ornate Islamic cornices.

All participants at the 5K, 10K and 21K runs in Hyderabad on Run Weekend will get one of these lovely souvenirs – we hope this will tempt you to explore Hyderabad’s heritage with us this Sunday!

References: Heritage Capital, Hyderabad Picture Book
