Among them are its historical buildings, and more specifically, the churches. The school in Ooty was the third to be constructed in 1858.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/todays-paper\/tp-national\/tp-tamilnadu\/a-church-steeped-in-history-at-lovedale\/article2516951.ece\">The Hindu<\/a>, On October 5, 2011, the church celebrated 100 years of the laying of the foundation stone of the church. It was effected by Sir Arthur Lawley, who was the Governor of Madras in 1911. The special service was solemnized by the then Lord Bishop of Madras.
