Adjacent to the start point is a protected archaeological zone containing ruins of the Warangal Fort.\u00a0Runners will cross these ruins, head north and then in an anti-clockwise fashion along a loop heading all around the Warangal Fort area. At the 2.5K point, they will run past more fort ruins, leave the loop and head along a stony trail until they reach a tarred road. They will continue along the tarred road and traverse lush fields, a village or two and finally, a lake. They will run past the lake until they reach the 10.5K mark &#8211; the turn around point for the 21K.
